Holly St. Clair, 24, a graduate student of Shippensburg University, died May 5 from complications of diabetes.

St. Clair, a student in SU’s geoenvironmental studies program, was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, to Andrew and Laura St. Clair. Prior to her enrollment at SU, St. Clair attended Kutztown University until her graduation in 2015, where she studied environmental science and geology and was a member of the Geology Club.

While attending James M. Coughlin High School, St. Clair was a member of the Drama Club, Coughlin Marching Band, Luzerne County Honors Band, PMEA District Band, Spanish Club and the National Honor Society.

In addition to her parents, St. Clair is survived by her brothers, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

A memorial service for St. Clair will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Corcoran Funeral Home at 20 South Main Street in Plains, PA. Family and friends may visit the funeral home between 9 and 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, St. Clair’s family requests donations be made to Blue Chip Farm Animal refuge in Dallas, PA, in St. Clair’s memory.
