Breaking News: Robbery on Fort Street

A shot rang out near 348 1/2 East Fort St. at 9:25 p.m. on Monday as three suspects fled a robbery scene, Shippensburg police reported.

The suspects are one “white/NH” female, one African American male and one Hispanic male, believed to be around 20 years old, according to police.

The male suspects entered the house on East Fort Street and fought with two men inside the building. Unknown items were stolen from the house.

Three of the four people in the house were attacked.

A gun was fired outside the East Fort Street home, but the bullet did not hit anyone, according to police.

Suspects fled the area in a dark colored SUV that could be identified as a Ford Explorer.

Two of the victims received medical treatment, police reported. It is suspected that the male robbers were also injured in the fight.

Shippensburg University students received an initial SU Alert email at 10:09 p.m., warning them of the crime.

Campus police urge students to be cautious and notify Shippensburg borough police at 717¬–532–7361 with any information regarding the robbery.
