A restaurant that opened last year is already garnering great reviews. CJ’s American Pub and Grill, which is located on King Street, opened on March 17, 2013.

Carly Ruberti, a Shippensburg University (SU) student is one of CJ’s biggest fans. “CJ’S has a great atmosphere and layout. The food is outstanding if you’re looking for something different,” Ruberti said.

CJ’s has a wide variety of food to choose from. Whether you’re in the mood for one of their signature salads or have a craving for something from their smokehouse, there is something on the menu for everyone.

Another SU student, Alexis Witmer has been to CJ’s multiple times and has been pleasantly surprised every time.

“The service is great and I can always find something on the menu that I enjoy,” Witmer said.
With the small town environment, CJ’s bring a more upscale and fine dining vibe to the town.
SU student Garrie Grenfell said, “I love their salmon! I get it every single time I go to CJ’s!”

Grenfell, who is a member of the Women’s Lacrosse team, said she and her teammates enjoy going to CJ’s for some team bonding.

CJ’s is an affordable restaurant. So, whether you’re a college student on a budget or taking the family to a nice restaurant, it’s a perfect hot spot to go to.

From 5-7 in the evenings, CJ’s offers happy hour. So they encourage all to come in after a hard day at the office or a rough day in classes and relax with some cold beverages! It’s a relaxed and fun atmosphere and could be just what you need to end your day.
