On Saturday, February 1, 2014, The Premier Elvis Valentine’s Bash event took place at the H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center on the compus of Shippensburg University.

The Elvis Presley impersonators, Scot Bruce and Mike Albert, put on a magnificent show. The show began with Scot Bruce taking the baby boomers generation back to ‘Jailhouse Rock’ and other old time classics by the King.

Scot Bruce put on a show that had you feeling like you were truly at a real Elvis Presley show in the 1950s or 1960s without ever having been. The 50s vibe that was given off through the lights, band members and instrument sounds left the crowd with feelings of euphoria. The amazing use of the instruments made the show that much better because each instrument played a big part in the feel of the show and how Elvis’ music sounds.

The pianist in the band especially made it stand out from others. It is one thing to sound like Elvis, but both of these talented musicians also could have taken the place as Elvis’ brothers in physical appearance. They impersonate Elvis Presley so well that you could really see the glow in the crowd’s faces.

Scot Bruce and Mike Albert are extremely talented musicians who have also been featured on Oprah Winfrey and CNN. These musicians really take the crowd back to a time in their youth when Elvis Presley, the King of Rock n Roll, was at an all time high for performances and records.

The passion that these two men have for the King shows throughout the entire performance. They literally impersonate Elvis’ every move, gesture, comment, dialect, tone and simply the sound of the music. They lit up Luhrs Center on Saturday.

From ‘Love Me Tender’ to ‘Devil In Disguise’, this show was definitely one for the books.
