The Shippensburg University volleyball team cruised past Millersville University in three sets on Tuesday night — set scores were 25–19, 25–16 and 25–18.

The win improves the Raiders’ record to 23–7 overall and 15–3 in the PSAC.
As a team, the Raiders finished with a hitting percentage of .301.

SU had very few errors during the match, only giving up two in the first and second sets, and five in the final set.

Jill Edwards hit .375 in the match. Her 12 kills, three aces and two blocks led the team in the offensive categories. Jill Edwards and Maria Peluso led the team on the defensive side of the net, tallying nine digs against the Marauders.

Samantha Edwards had eight kills in the match and also added two blocks.

Maura Nolan led the team and the match with 28 assists. For the season, Nolan has now broken the 1,000 assist total for the year. After the 28 assists on Tuesday, Nolan now has 1,017 assists.
She averages 9.51 sets per match, which ranks seventh in the PSAC division.

SU has five matches left before entering the PSAC Championships, three of which will take place this week.

On Friday night, SU will face Kutztown University. Saturday, the Raiders will match up against East Stroudsburg University at 1 p.m. before playing Shepherd University at 5 p.m. All games will take place inside Heiges Field House.
