Chicken tenders are a staple in the diet of many college students. This oven-baked dish will serve your appetite for flavorful chicken while saving you on some of the calories fried chicken tenders harbor.

Madeline Walsh

What you need:

Package of chicken breast tenderloins

Seasoned bread crumbs

1 cup mayonnaise

2 tbsp garlic powder

1 tbsp paprika

1 tbsp cumin

1 tbsp onion powder

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp Montreal chicken seasoning

½ tsp cayenne pepper

½ tsp turmeric

½ tsp ground mustard

½ tsp thyme

1 tsp salt

½ tsp pepper

What you do:

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees and spray two cookie sheets with PAM cooking spray.  Measure one cup of mayonnaise into a large Tupperware container. Combine all of the spices together in a bowl before pouring into the Tupperware container. Mix the spices and mayonnaise evenly. Remove chicken breast tenderloins from packaging and pat down with paper towels before placing inside Tupperware container with the spiced mayonnaise. Allow the chicken to marinade in the fridge for at least one hour. Fill a shallow Tupperware container with seasoned breadcrumbs. Place chicken pieces in the breadcrumbs with a fork, pressing down lightly on each side. Once all the chicken tenderloins are coated in breadcrumbs, place them onto the pans and into the oven. After the chicken has cooked for 10 minutes, remove from oven and flip to the other side. Allow the chicken to cook an additional seven minutes. Allow chicken to cool for two minutes before serving.
