There was no shortage of music and pizza Friday and Saturday night, and that is quite literal. The opening of Big Richard’s Pizza Shop was the cherry on top of the sundae for Shippensburg University students.

Most students know that faculty are big on “debriefing” — taking a lesson, exercise or discussion and unpacking it, offering reflections and drawing conclusions about what was learned. The same is true as we move from the historic and dramatic event of a faculty strike on our campus.
Student media have played a huge part in portraying proper journalism throughout recent events, such as the strike, the political campaign and Black Lives Matter protests, across college campuses all over the nation. Having significant, real time events as the basis for student media allows students to shine and show the importance of student media.
Student media is important not only to inform students of what is going on, but also to gain professional experience.

This past weekend, many students dressed up in their costumes and migrated to places like Richard Avenue, Wibs and parties of the like, to participate in homecoming festivities. But with parties, there is always a possibility that you may be involved in the taboo practice of one-night stands. While one-night stands can be perceived as dangerous and forbidden, having one can become less dangerous and more about embracing your sexual nature.
SU students show their support for the faculty during the strike by bringing them food and drinks, and making a thoughtful dessert for them to enjoy.
The strike has finally ended, but before a tentative agreement was reached, seniors at Shippensburg University wondered how the strike would affect their future.
After seeing what has transpired over these last two weeks, I am horrified, and quite frankly, ashamed of the lengths that some will go in order to win this election for “their side.”
Although the strike has come to an end, students and professors are still standing strong. It has been a rough week, but students have joined together in solidarity with professors on the picket lines, showing that within a bad situation, everyone needs to stand together.
Campus is in an uproar as the faculty have begun their strike after many failed negotiation attempts. Behind the picket line, students are walking around looking confused and lost as to what is going to happen next.
