PASSHE Chancellor Dan Greenstein visited Shippensburg Thursday for the first Council of Trustees meeting of 2019. During the meeting, former Provost Dr. Barbara Lyman was recognized by the Council of Trustees.

March for Humanity 2018

Students march on campus while holding banners and signs from their organizations during the March for Humanity. The march followed a ceremony with speakers including Pennsylvania state Sen. Vincent Hughes. This was the 32nd anniversary of the march, which was created to honor Martin Luther King Jr.

Bazzi and Bryce Vine are up-and-coming artists in the rap and hip hop scene. APB's concert coordinator, Chase Fisher, a marketing major who interned with Luhrs last fall, said Luhrs has been helpful in setting up the concert with APB.

Manny Span, one of the Raiders’ usual starters, was out of the lineup for Wednesday’s win over Mansfield. He was replaced by Dom Sleva, who recorded a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds in his first career start.

The annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. March for Humanity allows students to remember King, but also have a voice to impact and lead the future. This year’s march will begin on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Old Main Chapel.

Sique Spence explained "Baroque Biology Series #3" during her presentation on the exhibit. This painting, by Katerina Lanfranco, shows organic growth being quelled by fires of rebirth. In this way, it represents destruction as well as life.

Mark Calderon's "Nocturne" is one piece in a larger set called "Dominion." The piece is a study in balance, according to the exhibit's accompanying catalogue, and strives to draw attention to the relationship between the creatures and our use of the environment.
