Commentary: Fair, biased newsmedia

(09/20/19 12:35am)

Last week I wrote my commentary “Mending the Rift” about the need for Americans to be open to other people’s ideas and not be afraid to discuss political matters. The purpose? To foster community in our nation, to understand differences and gain insight on other possible solutions to our nation’s problems.

The Slate Speaks: Gun violence needs action

(09/10/19 6:48pm)

Gun violence in America has been a common scene of both chaos and carnage. National leaders respond to the issue in a seemingly systematic manner — thoughts and prayers; thought and prayers; thoughts and prayers — while innocent Americans continue to die.

(05/24/19 4:00am)

Last week a federal judge heard the merits of a case involving President Donald Trump’s financial records and the House representatives who attempted to obtain them.
