Whenever students apply to Shippensburg University, many are offered the Raider Success Scholarship as a means of decreasing the cost of their tuition and to encourage them to choose SU over all other schools. Its purpose is additionally to reward students who are high academic performers. That Raider Success Scholarship funded through the university was previously provided to students with a 1150 SAT and 3.5 GPA or higher to the amount of $2,000 for up to four years.

On Wednesday, Penn Live broke the news that Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) would no longer fund mental health counseling for its 17,000 students. According to the story by Aneri Pattani, a member of Spotlight PA, HACC stopped individual and group counseling sessions mid-September and is sorts students through a dean of student affairs individual, who is referring them to an off-campus provider.

A bill titled the “Tobacco-Free Youth Act” is making its way through the United States Senate committees. The bipartisan bill, sponsored by majority leader Mitch McConnell (R) and former vice-presidential candidate Sen. Tim Kaine (D) would change the federal smoking age from eighteen to twenty-one.
