Field hockey grabs nationally ranked wins on charge toward playoffs

Following an impressive victory in a previous outing against No. 8-ranked Millersville University, the No. 5-ranked Shippensburg University field hockey team defeated Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) rival Bloomsburg University (No. 9) 2-0 on Saturday in Bloomsburg.

Red Raiders shut out rival Marauders to break streak

Nothing less than a dominant win would be satisfactory for the Shippensburg University football team after dropping its last four contests in disappointing fashion. That dominant win came on Saturday as the Red Raiders soundly defeated Millersville University away from home, 37–0.

After a disappointing midweek loss to Pitt-Johnstown University that ended a school-record 15-game win streak, the Shippensburg University women’s volleyball team was back in action over the weekend against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) rivals West Chester and Millersville universities.

Swimming has mixed success in IUP meet

After impressive season-opening wins against Gannon University, the Shippensburg University men’s and women’s swim teams traveled to take on Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). The men moved to 2–0 with a 112–93 win, while the women fell short, 122–80.
