A tribute to the trees

If anyone knows me, they know that I have a deep emotional connection to trees, more specifically, the turning of the leaves on campus each fall. As I fell more charmed with our campus’ foliage during my first semester at Ship last year, I decided there could be much worse things for a college student to derive joy from.

Throughout my time at Shippensburg University, I have prided myself on attending all sorts of campus events and have certainly fully utilized my student activity fee. Shippensburg University truly has a diverse array of student organizations, programs and engaging events that can provide engaging experiences for almost any student. Over my four years, I found myself returning to certain events year after year that have become a staple of my Shippensburg experience; not to mention many other students across campus. I recommend all students attend these six events, shows, performances and trips before graduating:

Jan Bye to retire after 28 years of service to the SU community

A self-proclaimed progressive, feminist pastor, the Rev. Jan Bye has served the Shippensburg community since 1994. Reverend Bye will be retiring this June after 28 years of dedicated service as the United Campus Minister at Shippensburg University.
