SU students hold album listening party at Thought Lot

Classic hits from Kanye West, Weezer and OutKast serenaded Shippensburg University students’ eardrums as they sauntered into the Thought Lot Thursday night for a listening party held by SU junior Zach Geesaman and sophomore Luke Hershey.

Cirque Mechanics brings big top to Luhrs

Saturday night’s performance of “42 ft. - A Menagerie of Mechanical Marvels” by Cirque Mechanics, brought the energy of the big top to Shippensburg University’s H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center. The ensemble that came to life in 2004 showcased its ability to entertain like no other.

"Clue: Onstage" leaves audiences captivated

On Friday, Nov. 16, the cast and crew for “Clue: Onstage” brilliantly performed its opening show. Originally supposed to open Thursday, Nov. 15, the opening show had to be postponed to Friday due to inclement weather. It was well worth the wait.

World-renowned rock band Toto brought a booming crowd to Shippensburg University’s H. Ric Luhrs Performing Arts Center Saturday night for a stop on their “40th Trip Around the Sun” concert tour.

Commentary: 'Venom' not as poisonous as critics say

We walked into the theater to celebrate my friend’s birthday, dragging our expectations along the carpet. In spite of our pessimistic outlook walking in, Sony’s “Venom” managed to leave us laughing and engaged, setting aside a less-than-coherent plot.

Shippensburg University’s undergraduate journal of the arts, The Reflector, hosted a community-wide open mic and poetry reading at the Shippensburg Arts Programming and Education (SHAPE) Gallery Friday night.

Flatley tells tale with dance performance

On the radiant flat-screen spanning the width of the stage, an antique watch appears, revealing the source of the slow ticks. It was much slower than any of the tapping throughout the performance. The intricate sounds throughout, supported by video backgrounds of unicorns and waterfalls, took the audience to a fantasy land.
