The Shippensburg University men’s basketball team remains unbeaten, as it defeated Wilmington University, 78–62, to record its fifth straight victory. The Raiders had four different players score in double figures and shot 42 percent from the field.
The Shippensburg University men and women’s swim teams traveled to George Mason University this weekend for the annual Patriot Invitational. The three-day event is always heavily anticipated by the team because of Shippensburg’s past success at George Mason.
The Shippensburg University football team came away from the All-PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Awards Wednesday with eight players earning recognition. Among these players was senior linebacker Allen Holman, who was named PSAC Eastern Division Defensive Player of the Year. Other players that were recognized included junior Cole Chiappialle, senior Justin Pyle, junior Oscar Ghasab, junior Kevin Taylor II, junior Jeff Gulyas, sophomore Richard Nase and junior Billy Deane.
The Shippensburg University women’s basketball team split its set of weekend games at Heiges Field House, bullying Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponent Slippery Rock University on Saturday, and then losing to PSAC adversary Edinboro University in a tight game on Sunday.
