This week, the Shippensburg Raiders men’s basketball team played two close games against PSAC East foes Shepherd and Lock Haven universities. On Wednesday, the Raiders hosted Shepherd University at Heiges Field House and won 68-66. Saturday, the Raiders traveled to Lock Haven and beat the Bald Eagles, 72-61.
Shippensburg University’s women´s basketball team won all three games of the week in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchups against Millersville, Shepherd and Lock Haven. The team was led by senior Ariel Jones, who broke three records in the game against Millersville.
Shippensburg University’s men’s and women’s swimming teams travelled to Edinboro, Pennsylvania, on Friday, Jan. 13, to compete in a dual meet with the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponent Edinboro University. The men won by delivering the fastest time in nine out of the 11 events, while the women dropped the dual meet to the host Edinboro.

Senior forward Ariel Jones had her third 30-point game of the season. The Raiders were not able to hold off the Huskies and lost 76-73.
